Privacy Policy — AstroJour

Short version: AstroJour does not create accounts, does not store your birth details, and does not share any personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your birth details are used only to calculate your KP chart and are discarded after the response is returned.

1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect

When you use AstroJour, you voluntarily enter the following information to generate your KP chart:

Date of birth
Time of birth
Place of birth (city / coordinates)

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials. No user account is created.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your birth details are transmitted over HTTPS to our calculation service (Cloudflare Workers) solely to:

Compute your KP planetary chart (Moon sign, Nakshatra, Dasha timeline)
Match your chart against our read-only celebrity dataset to produce the Dasha Reality Check

The response is returned to your device. Your birth details are not stored on our servers after the calculation is complete.

4. Data Retention

AstroJour does not persist your birth details. The data exists only in memory for the duration of the calculation request (typically under two seconds) and is discarded immediately after the response is sent.

Cloudflare Workers may retain standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, request size) for up to 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs do not include your birth details.

5. Sharing of Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your birth details with any third party. The only services involved in processing your request are:

Cloudflare Workers — serverless compute for KP calculations (Cloudflare Privacy Policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)
Google Firebase / Firestore — read-only database for the celebrity dataset (Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy)

6. Children's Privacy

AstroJour is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted birth details through the app, contact us at [email protected] and we will address the concern promptly.

7. Security

All data in transit between the app and our calculation service is encrypted using TLS. Because we do not store your birth details, there is no persistent personal data at risk of a data breach on our end.

8. Your Rights

Because AstroJour does not store personal data, there is no profile to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about data processed in transit (such as Cloudflare request logs), contact us at [email protected] and we will assist you.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of AstroJour after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
